Mycala is the Executive Producer of the Data Feminism Network Podcast, for which she leads podcast logistics, performs audio editing, and develops content for the organization’s show.
Previously, Mycala worked in higher education at the University of British Columbia and Fraser International College, supporting the transition of first-year international students through academic advising and the implementation of community-building programming. She is also an Executive Producer for Beyond the Headlines, a nationally syndicated, student-run current affairs radio show and podcast. Passionate about global development, Mycala has performed research and data analytics regarding sustainable agriculture in Tzimol, Mexico. She recently completed her summer internship with Action Against Hunger analyzing the intersection of food security and gender-based violence in rural households in Peru.
Mycala has a BA in Political Science and Economics from UBC and is currently completing her Master of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto.
