Simran is the Director of Business Development at Data Feminism Network where she leads external communications with the community, creates digital content and works to develop and execute the organization’s initiatives.
Previously, she worked on data projects within the Enterprise Intelligence & Data team at Vancouver City Savings Credit Union; an experience which sparked her interest in the power of local businesses aligning themselves with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to catalyze global change. Passionate about creating community, she also worked as a Project Assistant and Ambassador with the University of British Columbia (UBC) Go Global International Learning Programs Office. Simran is interested in work at the intersection of data and sustainable impact.
Simran has a BSc in Food, Nutrition and Health and a Master of Business Analytics from UBC. She also participated in study programs at The University of Copenhagen and National University of Singapore.
